Jamie L. Evans, CSW, FWS
Jamie Evans is the founder of The Herb Somm, a culinary-meets-cannabis blog and lifestyle brand that's focused on the gourmet side of the cannabis industry. She’s a 4 x published author, certified sommelier, entrepreneur, and writer specializing in cannabis, infused beverages, wine/spirits, and the canna-culinary world.
As a well-known cannabis and wine personality, Jamie is best known for her literary work and signature wine and weed experiences. She’s contributed to POPSUGAR, Wine Enthusiast Magazine, High Times Magazine, MARY Magazine, and The Clever Root magazine specializing in lifestyle features for the modern consumer. In addition, she’s the co-editor of GoldLeaf's acclaimed cannabis Cooking Journal and author of the published books, The Ultimate Guide to CBD: Explore the World of Cannabidiol (Fair Winds Press, 2020), Cannabis Drinks: Secrets to Crafting CBD & THC Beverages at Home (Fair Winds Press, 2021), and High Times: Let’s Get Baked! The Official Cannabis Cookbook (Insight Editions, 2023). Her fourth book, High Times Cannabis Cocktails: Seasonal Sips & High Teas for Every Occasion” will be released in July 2024.
As an industry leader, Jamie was named one of Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 Tastemakers in 2018 and as a 2018 Innovator by SevenFifty Daily. She was also recognized as one of Green Market Report’s “Most Important Women in Weed” in 2020 and named one of Marijuana Venture’s Top 40 Under 40 leaders in 2023.
Alongside her work in the cannabis space, Jamie is a Certified Sommelier with over a
decade of wine industry experience. Melissa Luke
Melissa Luke brings over 15 years of professional bartending experience to the world of cannabis-infused craft cocktails. Based in San Francisco, Melissa has honed her skills in some of the city's most renowned high-volume establishments, mastering the art of mixology while maintaining an unwavering commitment to quality and innovation.
Throughout her career, Melissa has become known for her meticulous attention to detail, creativity behind the bar, and unparalleled customer service. Her enthusiasm for mixology extends beyond crafting exceptional drinks; she thrives on creating memorable experiences for her patrons.
Melissa’s other passion is learning about all things health and wellness, which led her to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) where she received her certification as a Holistic Health Coach in 2020. Her journey into the field of alternative healing sparked a fascination with herbalism and plant allies, particularly cannabis. She was especially intrigued by all the medicinal and therapeutic benefits of CBD and low-dose THC. This curiosity culminated in co-founding The Herbal Cocktail Co., merging her extensive beverage industry experience with THC and CBD infused beverages to meet the increasing demand for more health-conscious social options. Melissa draws inspiration from herbs and botanicals to not only give the cocktails depth and complexity, but also to transmit their healing abilities.
A native of beautiful California, Melissa loves being outdoors! From hiking, to camping or simply being in her garden, she finds she is happiest when she’s in nature. When she's not behind the bar, she can be found exploring the vibrant cultural and culinary scene of San Francisco, planning her next trip abroad, cooking up healthy, plant-based meals, and enjoying the company of her two cats.
